Historical Significance: Because this booklet lists specific names on the class roll (such as J. W. Altgens, who later became famous as the photographer who captured iconic JFK assassination photos in Dallas), it holds extra crossover value for Dallas historians and genealogy researchers.———————A rare vintage senior class publication titled The Last Laugh, issued in January 1939 by the graduating class of North Dallas High School in Dallas, Texas. This softcover booklet served as a senior humor and commemorative edition, featuring a graphic orange cover illustration, class songs, poems, dedication pages, staff listings, and a complete class roll of January '39 graduates including J. W. Altgens, Earl Austin, Harvey Bailey, and many others. Printed locally by John Blake in June 1939, the booklet provides a fascinating snapshot of pre-WWII Texas high school culture, student humor, and local school history. The booklet shows light vintage wear around the spine edges and cover corners, with clean, fully legible interior pages and binding intact. It makes a wonderful addition for Dallas area historians, North Dallas High alumni, or vintage high school ephemera collectors. Related Items:
