Vintage Crosley Model 51 Regenerative 2-Tube Battery Radio Receiver 1924:
$179.99
Crosley Model 51 two-tube Armstrong regenerative radio receiver, c. 1924. Battery set (A and B batteries): one detector and one audio stage.Condition: Untested, sold as-is. Original and unrestored, with no modifications that I can see: original cloth-covered wiring, Crosley audio transformer, "Tested 4 Meg" grid leak, tickler and tapped tuning coils, and the red Crosley label inside the lid. The front panel is complete, with all four knobs, the tuning dial and the binding posts; the "CROSLEY 51" engraving is clear. The cabinet finish is worn on the lid edges and corners, the back is scratched, and there is a round hole in the back panel (I don't know whether it is original). The panel is dull with surface grime, and there is dust inside. Both lid hinges are intact.
Included: the radio with two matching early tubes (slim tubular glass on full-size 4-pin bases, about 3¾" tall; markings worn, type not identified). No batteries, speaker or headphones. Related Items:
