Vintage USSR Latvian SSR Soviet Flag Capron Nylon 1978 Baltic Wave 90x180:
$59.90
This is an authentic original Soviet Latvian SSR (USSR) flag manufactured around 1978 by the Moscow Production Association "Khudozhestvennaya Rospis". Made of lightweight yet durable synthetic capron (Soviet nylon) under standard GOST 19690-74, this flag features one of the most visually striking designs among Soviet republics: a red field above blue and white undulating sea waves, symbolizing the Baltic coastline, with the printed golden hammer, sickle, and red star in the upper hoist. While the original paper tag is missing and there is slight blue color bleeding onto the white wavy fabric stripes from decades of folded storage, the synthetic material itself remains in excellent structural condition with no moth damage or fraying. The Latvian SSR flag is highly sought after by Baltic historians and vexillology collectors due to its iconic maritime aesthetic.
