Up for sale/sale is a charming and historic hand-painted ceramic trinket / jewelry box featuring a classic red-coat fox hunting scene on the loose drop-in lid.This box was made to commemorate the landmark First International Hunting Exhibition held in Vienna in 1910, to celebrate the 80th birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph I. The underside features a handwritten period ink inscription reading "Wiener Jagd-Ausstellung"dated 1912 (although the date is somewhat illegible and could be 1910...)

Dimensions: 70mm x 50mm by 25mm high without lid
Design: Hand-painted Man and Woman equestrian and hound motif in vibrant enamel tones; unhinged loose cover.
Condition: Very Good to Excellent antique condition. Free of cracks, chips, hairlines, or restoration. Minor surface wear and dirt smudges from handling consistent with age. I have not endeavored to clean it as I don't know the correct process to clean without damaging the finish. Please review all photos as they serve as part of the description.
