Found this primitive split oak buttocks egg basket in Maine . Lady said it was her grand mother’s she thought from late 1800’s. It is very solid and constructed very well and strong. Just look at the base and eveness of the wrappings & craftsmanship on it. It is 10x9 1/2x10 in size. One of better looking baskets I have run across lately. Thanks for looking at my site, I also have a primitive painted one from Southern Virginia area on at this time
