RARE 65th Annivesary Shapleigh Hardware Co Diamond Edge Single Bit Axe Head 1908:
$500.00

The product is a rare 65th anniversary Shapleigh Hardware Co diamond edge single bit axe head. Looks like only a few are known to exist. I could only find 1 example online. I think the 65th year makes this a 1908 model. This one has some surface rust and looks slightly pitted. Also, in the logo there are some scapes and gouge marks in it. On the opposite side of the logo there is a dimple hole about an 1/8" deep, looks like a mold flaw but I am not sure. The hammer side has well been used. The handle has a lot of wear in it.This vintage original piece was made in the United States by Shapleigh Hardware Co., known for its quality craftsmanship. The diamond edge design adds a unique touch to this collectible tool, making it a valuable addition to any woodworker's collection.
Feel free to ask questions. Please review pics for what is there and the condition.NOTE: If you don't want the handle, I can remove it and give you a shipping discount. Related Items:
